Yoga for maternity and birth


A relaxed, nurturing and friendly class to help you enjoy your pregnancy and prepare for the birth of your baby in a serene environment.


This 'Birthlight Yoga' class focuses on yoga postures specifically adapted for pregnancy and labour, movements and stretches to alleviate discomforts and renew energy, as well as breathing techniques and a lovely long relaxation at the end of the class to help you calm, recharge and release stress, and use during labour.


It is recommended to join from 16 weeks onward and you can continue until the birth of your baby.


No prior experience of yoga necessary! Movements and postures are simple and gentle, and easy to replicate at home.


All equipment provided (mats, cushions, shawls). Just wear some comfortable clothing.


Classes run in 6-week blocks on Wednesdays, 6.30pm - 8pm at Duke Street Church, RICHMOND
